Join the Kids First Child Advocacy Center of the 9th Judicial District and the Community Church at Tellico Village in spreading love every Sunday this February through Adopt a Valentine!
Throughout February, a month dedicated to cherishing the love we have for our families, friends, and all those in our lives, the Community Church At Tellico Villages invites you to Adopt a Valentine to ensure that every child abuse survivor knows they are loved, cared for, and seen.
Each Sunday in February, special envelopes will be available at Tellico Village Community Church’s congregation, offering you the chance to donate and demonstrate your love for child abuse survivors. Adopt a Valentine was born over 15 years ago (by former professional basketball player and Olympian, Richard “Dick” Davies) from the desire to spread love and care to children who have experienced severe physical abuse, sexual abuse, human trafficking, drug-endangered homes, and/or those who have lost or witnessed the death of a family member.
Child Abuse Victims and their non-offending caregivers turn to the Kids First CAC for support, services, and advocacy. Your support helps the CAC empower child abuse victims to become survivors. Our comprehensive services include forensic interviews, the choice of therapy, a complete forensic medical exam, court prep, and advocacy during court proceedings. These evidence-based and trauma-focused services are at no cost to the victim or their non-offending caregiver.
The Kids First CAC stands by survivors for as long as they need us, without time limits or restrictions on therapy sessions. The child abuse survivor and their non-offending caregiver can re-enter our services at any time, ensuring ongoing support and care. For example, if an offender is released from prison.
Join us in making a difference, healing the pain of child abuse, and spreading love to those who need it most. Adopt a Valentine with Community Church at Tellico Village!
